Connecting on a personal level is an important part of sharing ideas. Here you'll find some things about our organization and the people behind it...

Our Staff...

Executive Director
Cynthia L. Warren

Cynthia became executive director on January 5, 2009.  She is a native of Indiana, but has spent the past 26 years in South Florida.  She returned to Indiana in 2008 to be closer to her family.  Cynthia's work experience includes many successful not-for-profit organizations, such as the March of Dimes, Visiting Nurse Association of Florida, Inc., and her most recent position of communications manager with Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida.  Cynthia earned her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and graduated a Magna Cum Laude.  She feels her love of helping others embraced with her experience of working in the nonprofit sector, along with her education will bring our local Easter Seals to the next level.  Cynthia believes by "raising the bar", Easter Seals will be able to assist more people to achieve greater independence through increasing programs and services, expanding the service area, increasing education on specific disabilities by bringing experts to speak on these topics to our local community, and working in concert with other local organizations serving those with disabilties to ensure we are meeting the needs of those who are living with a disability.

Patient Services...

Easter Seals organizes socially interactive activities for youth with disabilities.  These include a variety of functions such as a trip to the Indiana State Fair and a day of fun at the annual Activities Day.
We willingly provide or attempt to locate needed information for families of persons with disabilities, or other persons seeking an understanding of a disability.  Easter Seals will refer those we cannot help to the proper agencies for furhter assistance.
We provide educational awareness of disabilities through school and community activities.  The Awareness of Individual Differences Program travels to first and fourth grade classes throughout Wayne and Union Counties to help children without disabilities obtain an awareness of and sensitivity to their peers with disabilities.

Camping for Persons with Disabilities...

Our organization is served by several camps  including Camp Isanogel near Muncie and Recreation Unlimited, Ashley, Ohio, and Camp Riley near Martinsville, Indiana.
Camp sessions are available for ages eight through adult for both six and twelve days.  The camps are designed and equipped to meet the needs of persons with disabilities.
